On Saturday 26th May 2007, Abingdon's first MG Museum opened, finally giving MG enthusiasts some tangible evidence that MG were actually based in Abingdon for much of the life of the company! The exhibition, titled "The Making of MG - the Abingdon Years 1930-1980", was officially opened by Bill Wallis, president of the MG Car Club.

Any museum needs money to keep going, and the MG Museum is no exception, so donations like the ones given by the Abingdon Works Centre of the MG Car Club and SWMGF are essential.
